What Is Our School All About?
Our Gin & Vodka School has been designed to be fully immersive and interactive giving you a hands-on experience in the art of craft distilling. From selecting your botanicals to distilling, blending and bottling, you'll be involved in every step of the process. The best part? You get to take home your bespoke bottle of gin, a true reflection of your creativity and taste, all whilst sipping away on our award winning spirits!
What to Expect During Your Visit
- A Warm Welcome: Your day starts with a warm welcome at The Shropshire Distillery. We'll greet you with a refreshing cocktail to kick off your experience.
- Introduction to Spirit Making: Our expert distillers will guide you through the fascinating history of distilling and our process. You'll learn about the key botanicals that give gin its distinctive flavour and how different combinations can create entirely unique profiles.
- Botanical Talk and Selection: Engage in an informative botanical talk as you get ready to select from a wide range of botanicals to craft your unique recipe. Whether you prefer citrusy notes, floral hints, or spicy undertones, you’ll have the freedom to experiment and create a blend that suits your palate.
- Distillation: Step into our distillery and watch as your chosen botanicals are transformed into a one-of-a-kind spirit. You’ll operate your own mini copper pot still, monitoring the process and ensuring your spirit is distilled to perfection.
- Bottling and Labelling: Once the distillation is complete, it’s time to bottle your creation. You’ll blend, fill, seal, and label your own 70cl bottle, ready to take home and enjoy.
- Tasting and Sharing: Indulge in three different G&T serves from The Shropshire Distillery Collection. Conclude your experience with a celebratory drink crafted with your very own creation. You’ll also have the opportunity to sample exclusive releases from our Shropshire Distillery Limited Edition & Evolution Lab ranges.
